The early mark for Nippon dates it to about pre-1920. There is a crack on the inside of the jar that also shows a small bit on the outside of the jar as well. It starts at the top of the jar to about 3-4" down the inside and outside. This listing is for an antique Nippon Japan Porcelain hand painted ginger jar. It is done in an elegant floral pattern that depicts roses and gold accent designs along the borders and on the lid. The early mark for Nippon dates it to about pre-1920. The jar alone measures approximately 6" tall, and about 8 1/2" with the lid on. There are small beads attached in matching spots all over the jar. All of the beads are intact. There is a crack on the inside of the jar that also shows a small bit on the outside of the jar as well. It starts at the top of the jar to about 3-4" down the inside and outside. There is a close up picture of it where you can see a small line coming down from one of the roses. Some of the areas of the gold painted accents are rubbing off.
