Particularly impressive is the extensive use of fine seed stitch (also known as Peking knot or Forbidden Stitch), creating remarkable texture and depth throughout portions of the design. Smooth satin-stitch embroidery and rich color gradations further highlight the exceptional craftsmanship of the piece. The composition is framed by a black silk brocade border woven with colorful floral accents, while the reverse retains its original blue silk lining.
