U.S. Patent Date 7-12-12 (1912). Nice looking ANTIQUE Bailey Stanley No. 24 Transitional Plane  Collectible because it represents the period when Stanley was transitioning from all-wood planes to all-metal planes. Casting around the adjustment knob says BAILEY, which is the trademark used on Stanley Bailey planes. Original wood front knob. Nice dark japanning (black finish) is still present. Honest wear from use.  Complete. The toe is clearly stamped "STANLEY BAILEY NO. 24" U.S. Patent Date 7-12-12 (1912) I will leave it up to the buyer to clean it as desired.   I have other tools for sale at the time of listing.  I will combine shipping if needed.   Condition: Used.
