This piece features Lütken’s signature organic, asymmetrical Scandinavian modern form in elegant bluish clear glass. The heavy base and softly flared rim are characteristic of his early 1960s designs. The underside is hand-engraved: “Holmegaard 19 PL 61” indicating Holmegaard manufacture, Per Lütken design, and year of production 1961. Per Lütken served as Holmegaard’s chief designer from 1942–1998 and created more than 3,000 glass designs, many now highly sought after by collectors.
