View US Navy Sailors Group Swimsuits Dock USS Hannibal 1930s - RPPC Photo Postcard with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. When the United States entered World War II following Pearl Harbor in December 1941, many of the young sailors seen in photos like this one would have been swept into the war effort. The Hannibal itself continued to serve in support roles throughout the conflict, finally being decommissioned in 1946. A 4.5x3" vintage RPPC photo postcard from a sailor who served aboard the USS Hannibal from the 1920s and 1930s (mostly late 1930s). The owner of the photos appears to have been a John D, and he served aboard the USS Tennessee during WW2.
