A 5.5x3.5" vintage RPPC photo postcard from the estate of a vintage automobile postcard collector. This was part of a huge collection of antique postcards. Photo Overview A family of five poses proudly in their brass-era Ford Model T touring car on a dirt road in front of a white clapboard farmhouse, captured in this real photo postcard from the early 1910s. The car displays the classic hallmarks of the early Model T touring body: brass side lamps, a bulb horn mounted alongside the hood, wooden artillery-spoke wheels, and the folded-down top stacked behind the rear seat. Two couples and a young woman fill the open tourer, all dressed in their Sunday best with the driver at the wheel sporting a flat cap and mustache. The setting is quintessential rural Americana - a whitewashed board fence lines the drive, mature shade trees frame the composition, and the two-story farmhouse with its gingerbread porch trim stands in the background. A license plate is mounted at the front of the car, and the family's pride in their new machine is evident.
