It has a beautiful hand painted and gilded floral motif of roses and daisies, with green leaves; it is of excellent color and nicely shadowed, with cut work handles.  Embossed design in rim, and handles.  The mark is a crown with R.C., number S7.  Phillip Rosenthal opened his first factory in 1891 and the first world exposition of his products was in 1900. Since then, until today, Rosenthal has been a renowned name for quality porcelain. This Philip Rosenthal hallmark was used between 1898 and 1906. This piece is completely beautiful and worthy of display and use.   It is in excellent antique condition  with no chips, cracks or repairs The plate is 9" x 10" in diameter.
