This listing is for a lovely small antique American ash splint woven buttocks (egg gathering) basket, c. early 1900's. The basket has been carefully woven and has remains of old green paint on the interior. The solid oak splint handle encircles the entire center body.  Measures 6 1/2" high (to top of handle), 3 1/2" high (at sides), 8" long and 7 1/2" wide. Weighs 6 ounces. This nice basket is in excellent Estate condition with the only minor flaw being loss (weaver is thin and not missing) on one of the top weavers around the support band.
