No chips or cracks except for a split in the clay on the bottom that occurred during firing. Chinese Provincial Zhangzhou Swatow Ware is from the late Ming Period or early 17th Century. Also known as Swatow ware in the West, the accurate name for this pottery is Zhangzhou ware.The name is derived from a generic name referring to a group of late Ming Dynasty export ceramics from China intended for the Southeast Asian market. Usually characterized by a ring in the bottom of the bowl's interior due to the items being stacked in the kiln during firing, which leaves a bisque ring around the central basin of the item. 9.5” Diam x 2.5”H Condition: Good Condition.
