He participated extensively in exhibitions and art competitions, earning recognition from critics and fellow artists of his time. He studied under Attilio Pratella and Gaetano Ricchizzi , and later established his studio in the Vomero district of Naples, on Via Scarlatti. Monaci was a co-founder of the magazine Pro Arte and played a significant role in the revival of the historic Promotrice d’Arte Salvator Rosa . In the early 1950s, he relocated to Genoa Nervi , where he embraced plein air painting and produced numerous landscapes inspired by the Ligurian coast, influenced in part by the painter Berto Ferrari . Throughout his career, Monaci received several prestigious awards, including the Veliero d’Oro in 1963. One of his paintings ( Lavoro – Cantiere edile , oil on canvas, 64 x 78 cm), currently held by INPS, was insured for €4,000 , reflecting the established market value of his work.
