Vintage Imperial Porcelain Egg Trinket Box, Cobalt Blue Gold Hinged Footed Egg This is a Faberge-style porcelain trinket box formed as an upright egg, resting on three gilded scrolled feet and split at the middle by a hinged, beaded gold-tone metal collar so the top half lifts open. The deep cobalt blue ground is decorated all over with gilded ornamentation, including a central stylized floral spray, scattered daisy-like blossoms, and foliate scrollwork on both the lid and the base. A small gilded rosette sits at the front of the metal band as a clasp accent, and the glossy glazed surface is finished with matching gold trim on the feet.
