Beautiful vintage Japanese hand-painted tea cup and saucer featuring a striking orange-peach sunset landscape with dark green/black trees and scenic detailing. The porcelain has a lovely iridescent luster finish that catches pink, green and blue tones in the light. Fine metallic trim accents the rims. Approximate measurements: Saucer: about 5 1/2 inches diameter Cup: about 3 3/4 inches diameter across the opening, excluding handle Green maker/export backstamp is present but quite faded. Based on the style, decoration and marking, this set appears consistent with Japanese export lusterware from approximately the 1920s–1930s . Vintage condition with age-related wear to the painted and metallic details and some small dark specks/imperfections consistent with older hand-decorated porcelain.
