View VINTAGE SOLID STERLING SILVER 1 3/4" ORTHODOX CROSS CRUCIFIX "SAVE and PROTECT" with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. 1 3/4" tall with bale and jump ring, ~1 1/2" without the ring; weight approx. The reverse displays the traditional Orthodox "Protection" prayer. The large and sturdy soldered jump ring of the crucifix bears two punch marks on its back surface, one of which displays the "925" hallmark indicating the "sterling" purity. Vintage solid sterling silver larger and sturdy (approx. 1 3/4" tall with bale and jump ring, ~1 1/2" without the ring; weight approx. 4.2 g) Crucifix pendant featuring bold and humble right-angled Slavonic Orthodox design with a detailed relief iconic image of the Crucified Savior depicted according to the Orthodox iconographic tradition, with His feet uncrossed and with large halo around His head. The reverse displays the traditional Orthodox "Protection" prayer. The prayer, "Save and Protect", reminds us that Christ the Savior is with us to save and protect a person wearing the cross from every evil and all enemies visible and invisible. The large and sturdy soldered jump ring of the crucifix bears two punch marks on its back surface, one of which displays the "925" hallmark indicating the "sterling" purity. It has been confirmed using the silver acid test for both the pendant and the ring. The pendant has visual vintage appearance with signs of aging and wear that might include diminished quality of the artwork, deformations of its original shape, scratches, dents, and patches of discoloration/patina. The size and weight of the item are shown on the photographs for this listing.
