It is made in magnificent Jugendstil / Art Nouveau style. It is of ‘Maria’ form. It represents a wide opened goblet standing on pedestal made of engraved fruits and floral. Its surface is not smooth; it is rather has twelve faces. Vase is of white background decorated from its front with very expressive picture of Blue Bells flowers. Other side carries monogram ‘E.M’ in gold. Vase is trimmed with gold. Gold band around the base completes this magnificent design. Vase is fully glazed. Looks splendid. Philipp Rosenthal (1855 – 1937) designed this vase. He was not only one of the most important entrepreneurs of the 20 th century, but also a designer. He did not feel like a designer in the classical sense of the word, but rather a creative director. Many of his forms are still a high demand. One of them is ‘Maria’, another ‘Donatello’. Famous Restaurant ware is actually of his design. Vase on this auction is marked on the backside with ‘Rosenthale Selb Germany’ mark in green dating production of   1930. Other marking is ‘M 39’ written in blue and personal gift note ‘Jegge 15-5-1939 Fader Jean’ in gold on the backside. Vase measures about 4 ¾” in diameter on the top and stands 5 ½” tall.
