It is made in magnificent Jugendstil / Art Nouveau style. This is ‘Maria’ form. It represents a goblet standing on pedestal made of engraved fruits and florals. This form is one of the most known in Rosenthal history. Philipp Rosenthal (1855 – 1937) designed this vase. He was not only one of the most important entrepreneurs of the 20 th century, but also a designer. He did not feel like a designer in the classical sense of the word, but rather a creative director. Many of his forms are still a high demand. One of them is ‘Maria’, another ‘Donatello’. Famous Restaurant ware is actually of his design. ‘Maria’ is known in many different decors. Vase on this auction is original all white. It is fully glazed. Looks splendid. Vase is marked on the backside with Rosenthal mark in green.
