The leaded Saw cut Crystal glass bowl is large and shallow with a band and star pattern and a sawtooth rim. It's heavy withing in at approx. The marble base was made in Italy and has the original sticker. Up for Auction is this 1960's MCM Large centerpiece dish is a large crystal and brass compote on a Carrara marble Italy base. It has 7 (but is missing one, but I may still have it somewhere, and I will revise the listing once found) crystals or prisms hanging from draping brass leaves. The leaded Saw cut Crystal glass bowl is large and shallow with a band and star pattern and a sawtooth rim. It's heavy withing in at approx.  7 lbs. without secure packaging.  The marble base was made in Italy and has the original sticker. The compote was made by Monarch Crystal in West Germany sometime around the 1960s. Monarch says these brass pedestals are 24K gold plated but I cannot guarantee that. The brass is not as dark as it appears in my photos. It's more gold-looking. It does need a good cleaning /polishing but that is up to the new owner due to patina on Vtg. items. This ornate crystal glass and brass compote / centerpiece bowl will demand all the attention in a Hollywood Regency, traditional, Gothic, or classic midcentury modern decor. It would look great on a marble island in a white farmhouse kitchen. It is fabulous. It measures approx. 11 1/2" Diam at the top, base is 4" x 4" Marble, 9 1/2" tall. and weighs about 7 lbs.   It is in GREAT condition with good patina on the brass. No scratches, it does have some flea bits but I do not think they are chips and you cannot see them with your naked eye, only by touch. So Please use your zoom for a good look.
