This Stanley Bailey No 6 Type 12, 1919-24 fore plane is a fine user. The japanning is in typically worn & spotty condition for its age and use. It has three Patent Dates behind frog: Mar 25-02, Aug 19-02 & Apr 19-10 (see last 3 photos). I am offering for sale this FINE VINTAGE USER Stanley Bailey No 6 Type 12 Ca. 1919-24 Fore Plane INV# LZ27 This Stanley Bailey No 6 Type 12, 1919-24 fore plane is a fine user.  The japanning is in typically worn & spotty condition for its age and use.  It has three Patent Dates behind frog: Mar 25-02, Aug 19-02 & Apr 19-10  ( see last 3 photos). The plane measures approximately 18" L x 3" W.  It has a Stanley Rule & Level Co., New Britain, Conn USA logo. The cutter measures: 6-5/8" x 2-3/8". The cutter has been cleaned up but it would clean up better with a little TLC. It has a horizontal "Stanley" on the lateral adjustment lever. One cheek has the initial "K.O.S"., the other cheek has an "O" stamped into it.  The cheeks & sole have some minor scars & pitting.  The plane weighs 6.7lbs. I always suggest sharpening the cutter for optimal use. The rosewood tote has a minor chip at tip (see close-up).  The low rosewood knob is in fine used condition, no cracks or repairs .  It is ready to go to work for you.   “Photos are an integral part of this item's description.
