It has "C559MP" cast into bed behind the frog. I am offering for sale this FINE Stanley No 5 Type 20 Ca. 1962-67 Jack Plane USA Inv#WJ12 This FINE Stanley No 5 Type 20 Ca. 1962-67 USA  jack plane is in good "as found" pre-owned condition. It is stamped MADE IN USA behind knob.  The plane's red japanning is in 100% fine condition. It has "C559MP"  cast into bed behind the frog. The cap has a notched Stanley Made in USA logo with a vivid yellow background color. The knob & tote has a light color finish, in good condition with minor wear, but no cracks, splits or repairs. The plane measures 14" L x 2-1/2" W. The right cheek has "1648 BOCES" faintly inscribed on it. The cheeks and sole have minor age-appropriate patina and surface rust and it would clean up much better with some TLC.  The cutter has a "Stanley" No 5(12-005) Made in USA notched logo  with a lot of life left.  It measures:6-5/8" x 2" W. I always suggest sharpening to get it back to an optimal cutting edge. It weighs 4.8 Lbs unboxed. .
