This large serving platter has afaux marble finish in the center of the plate, surrounded by ahigh-relief / barbotine border ofgrapes andgrape leaves. AMAZING cake plate made in Italy in a majolica style.  This large serving platter has a faux marble finish in the center of the plate, surrounded by a high-relief / barbotine border of grapes and grape leaves . The marble effect is made by strokes of gray and tan glaze.  The grapes around edge are a deep concord purple and lighter burgundy red .  The grapes are connected by a brown vine and surrounded by dark green and tan-green grape leaves.  It looks to be hand-painted and very nicely done. The plate is 13.25 inches wide and rises 5.8 an inch above the table top.  It stands on a round base of 11 inches.  It's heavy at 2 pounds 7.75 ounces .   CONDITION:  in EXCELLENT vintage used / displayed condition with no chips, no cracks, and no repairs.  On the face of the plate, in the marble area, are two tiny spots where the overglaze didn't adhere .  This is original to the time of manufacture.  See the photos and video for what I mean. **See photos for more details and measurements.  Feel free to ask any questions prior to bidding / purchasing.
