View Vintage Antique German Shaving Cup Handpainted Roses with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. THE HOLES IN THIS SHELF WOULD DO JUST THE OPPOSITE. Old shaving mug, beautiful scalloped design decorated with hand-painted roses.  Colors are clear; red, orange and gold.  The cup flares out at the bottom, from 3" diameter at top to 4" then back to 3" on bottom rim.  It is 2 1/2" tall.  There are no scratches, cracks or crazing. The "GERMANY" mark is clear on the bottom. I HAVE HAD AN OBSERVATION THAT THIS IS A MOUSTACHE CUP, BUT IT WAS DEFININTELY USED AS A SHAVING MUG - THE HOLES IN THE SHELF ALLOW FOR WRINGING OUT THE SOAPY SHAVING BRUSH.  MOUSTACHE CUPS HAVE ONE MOUTH-SHAPED HOLE ON THE EDGE, THUS PROTECTING THE MOUSTACHE.  THE HOLES IN THIS SHELF WOULD DO JUST THE OPPOSITE.
