This vase is an original production of Vetreria Artistica Gambaro & Poggi, the historic Murano glassworks founded by Mario Gambaro and Bruno Poggi in 1974, prior to the company’s later evolution into Gambaro & Tagliapietra. The vase bears the hand-engraved “Gambaro & Poggi” signature on the base. The vase is made in luminous transparent emerald/teal green glass, with individually applied multicolored murrine scattered throughout the body. Its tall tapered form opens into a wide, dramatically flared rim, giving the piece a sculptural presence while allowing light to pass beautifully through the glass. Hand-engraved “Gambaro & Poggi” signature. A striking example of Italian art glass that displays beautifully on its own as a decorative art object.
