Condition: Very large 12.25" size. Genuine 1850-1899. Excellent antique condition- this is a MUSEUM QUALITY decorative arts/display plate -no damage or signs of wear to gold or paint. No nicks chips cracks scratches. Heavy ivory colored porcelain with MAGNIFICENT hand painted detailing of a large Temple scene with mountains, waterfall, Japanese maple trees, pines, and decorative walk bridge. Lavish gold gilt all over artwork, very minute gold outlines and enamel. Piecrust raised edge with alternating V shape gold trim. Main colors of this plate are cinnabar red/ burnt orange& forest green. Hand Signed on back. Light crazing throughout glaze which is absolutely normal for age and it is not darkened or distracting. See pics and use zoom. I have photographed the plate under a light to show the gold when it shines under lights- breathtaking! Requires a plate stand or plate hanger for display, large brass [ very sturdy secure] plate hanger that fits this plate is included. Highly collectible.
