The sapphire is prong set.              It is approx. 10.27 Carats in weight. It measures 11.45 x 11.50 x 7.50. It is accompanied by 9 round old cut diamonds totaling approx. 2.2 Carats. The diamonds range in size from 0.20 cts. to 0.28 cts. I-J in color and SI1-I1 clarity. These old European cut diamonds are heavier than modern brilliant cut diamonds of the same diameter.  They are set in fishtail settings.  This vintage ring is totally hand constructed.  Not a one piece casting.  It weighs 9 grams and is size 7.25. Some photos show this ring before it was sized to 7.25 size. We have priced this ring based gemological appraisal done by Richard Huntington Master Gemological Appraiser on May 2nd 2014 for $6200.  This is a Market Value Appraisal.        We made a short video in sunlight showing how good the star is showing.
