This elegant footed porcelain bowl bears the green Morimura Bros. hand-painted backstamp with "Made in Japan," placing its manufacture between approximately 1911 and 1921 — the golden era of Morimura export porcelain, predating the widespread adoption of the Noritake name in Western markets. The interior decoration is richly executed in the formal European taste: a deep cobalt blue band frames cartouches of raised gold scrollwork, floral medallions, and acanthus leaf motifs against a bright white ground. A fine gilded line borders the rim. The exterior is left in undecorated white bisque-style porcelain, allowing the three small gilt ball feet to stand out as delicate finishing details. At approximately 6 inches in diameter, this is likely a salad or berry bowl from a larger service set.
