The painted pattern is usually referred to as “House by the Lake”. Set of 6 Vintage (probable antique) Noritake Morimura hand painted Sunset House Lake 6 inch Dessert Plates.  The 6 inch plates feature a colorful hand-painted sunset with a house by the lake, green trees, waterlily. Crafted from bone china, each plate is carefully hand-painted, adding a unique and artistic touch to your table setting. The authentic Japanese craftsmanship and vintage charm make these plates a standout addition to any collection.  According to the backstamp the  "M" for Morimura in a wreath, crowned by "NORITAKE" and below, "Hand painted" and "Made in Japan". This mark was registered in 1918 and seems to have come in to use in the early 1920's when it was used until around 1940. Tentative date; 1920's.  The painted pattern is usually referred to as “House by the Lake”. No chips, cracks, utensil marks or crazing.  Very minimal wear of gold rim and some wear places from stacking. Very nice condition. Do not appear to have ever been used.
