Here is a wonderful German bisque antique doll. The doll is marked on the back of its head Made in Germany with the mold number 152 and underneath that is the number 13. The doll has a bisque socket head and a 15 piece composition jointed body. Here is a wonderful German bisque antique doll.  The doll is marked on the back of its head Made in Germany with the mold number 152 and underneath that is the number 13.  The doll measures roughly 21' long and 14" tall when seated.  The doll has a bisque socket head and a 15 piece composition jointed body.  The doll has wonderful working glass blue sleep eyes with real painted upper and lower eyelashes with painted winged eyebrows.  The mouth is open with an exposed painted tongue and two painted upper teeth.  There is not an opening in the mouth... meaning you cannot see into the head through the mouth. The face has chunky cheeks, chunky chin,  with large blush cheeks. The coloring is great. The composition chunky body is well strung and nice and tight.  There is some composition loss around the neck area, upper thighs, and on the left arm near the elbow joint.  Nothing major to report.  The fingers are all there just both hands have this dark wear on them.  I'm guessing the original child owner wrote the year on the bottoms of both feet.  You will see the year 1914.  I think it's sweet and means it was well loved.  The cream dress is a bit oversized but absolutely darling with all the delicate openwork floral lace fabric.  Underneath is an antique cotton slip with cotton bloomers.  The slip isn't an exact fit and pinned on.  The wig is synthetic and fiber hair.  Great fit and looks darling.
