Cover has two children in 1700's era French court clothing , in a cartouche, among in a pastoral river scene. Embossing at each corner and around the cartouche. Back and album spine is a bright blue silk velvet fabric. Edges are gilded gold with metal hardware. There are no photos inside, but plenty of windows to fill with your own. Clasp is there and working. Have to jiggle it around to make it stay. All brass ormolu is there. That is rare! No makers's marks. Brass bar that opens to support the book. Dated : "Pat. Dec. 27. '95-Mar. 22. '98" Measurements: Approx. 11 3/4" x 9 1/4" x 2" Material: Paper, metal/brass, celluloid, board, velvet fabric All vintage is sold in "as-is" condition. We do our best to list any flaws. Album is in antique old and loved condition. Inside has aged look to paper board pages. Some ripped paper inside. Velvet has normal age related thinning.
