Late Qing Dynasty period (c. 1850 - 1912). Globular antique Chinese Rose Medallion porcelain teapot. Decorated with alternating reserve panels displaying traditional figural court scenes and tree peony with birds on tea pot and lid. Panels are demarcated with a dense ground of scrolling flowers and foliage in vivid green, pink and gold with butterflies and the gilded medallion with peony flower and bird on each side of the teapot. No chips or cracks noted under blacklight inspection. Light gilt and enamel wear typical with age. Late-19th century with CHINA stamp.
