Size This exquisite vintage Russian lacquer trinket box features a beautifully hand-painted folklore scene from the Kholui art school, signed "Lyubava" (Любава) at the bottom of the central oval. The highly detailed miniature depicts a maiden in traditional dress against a scenic backdrop of a river, sailboats, and a fortress, all framed by elegant gold filigree borders. Crafted in the classic papier-mâché technique with a sleek black exterior and a vibrant red interior, this collectible piece is perfect for storing jewelry, keepsakes, or displaying as a gorgeous work of folk art, as pictured. Size approximations: 2 3/4 inches long x 2 inches wide x 1 1/8 inches tall. Weight approximation: 1.5 ounces.
