Here is a beautiful Vintage 15-1/4” Japanese saltwater Akoya pearl necklace with a 14k yellow gold clasp. The necklace is graduated from 4.4mm to 8.5mm in size, giving this necklace a classic appearance. Each of the pearls have been carefully hand knotted onto 100% silk cord, which gives the necklace a fresh appearance and feel, along with ensuring that the strand is secure for many years to come. These pearls have a highly symmetrical form that is a hallmark of Japanese akoya. They are eye-clean, with very few growth characteristics, giving them a silky smooth appearance.
