Antique Nippon Porcelain Plate — M in Wreath Mark, Hand Painted, Moriage, 1911–1921 A lovely antique Japanese porcelain plate from the Nippon era (1891–1921), bearing the highly collectible green M-in-Wreath "Hand Painted Nippon" backstamp — the mark of Morimura Brothers, the importer who later became Noritake. This mark dates the piece to 1911–1921, making it over 100 years old. The border is decorated in an Art Nouveau style with hand-painted blush/peach wild roses and green leaves on trailing vine stems, outlined in raised moriage slip work with a gold rim border. The overall palette is soft and elegant — ivory, peach, green, and gold.
