Dating to the Edwardian 1908 -1912 period. EDWARDIAN EMBROIDERED WHITEWORK COTTON DRESS, 1912 Edwardian white cotton tea dress with skillfully hand stitched embroidered twigs and leaves in raised satin stitches, and adorned with intricate hand done openwork needle lace inserts on front and back of bodice, skirt, and sleeves.  Dating to the Edwardian 1908 -1912 period. One piece in construction. Blouse has a net scoop neck line with outer ¾ sleeves adorned with fine net lace edging and openwork needlelace inserts. Back hook and eye closures. Bodice and skirt has no lining. APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS Bust 32" Waist 22" Sleeve length 11-3/4” Across back of shoulders 14" Front length from shoulder to waist 12" Shoulder to hemline front 48” Shoulder to hemline back 48”. CONDITION In very good antique condition with very few imperfections consistent with it's age. Bodice and skirt has small discoloration storage spots scattered about from decades of storage.  There are no underarm discoloration, no repairs, and sturdy and strong and wearable.   Our antique textiles are collectible and are not new and not reproductions, and have lived a long and eventful life and sometimes developing flaws.  Therefore, use and wear should be expected with these items, unless stated in description. We do not launder or dry clean unless stated in listing, and most times have been in storage for many decades picking up old age storage oxidation spots.
