The back of the plate features the authentic, hand-painted iron-red Kutani ( 九谷 ) potter's mark. This beautiful 7-inch Japanese porcelain side plate (chuzara) is decorated in the traditional Aote (Green Kutani) polychrome style. The central hand-painted motif features a vibrant songbird perched atop a classic scholar's rock, beautifully surrounded by blooming pink and purple peonies and plum blossoms. The design is framed by a rich cobalt blue border adorned with a flowing floral vine (karakusa) pattern. The back of the plate features the authentic, hand-painted iron-red Kutani ( 九谷 ) potter's mark.
