The Front Cover features:  ALL SAINTS' DAY TRIBUTE TO THE DEAD OF THE GREAT WAR.   In the years immediately following World War I, All Saints' Day (November 1) and All Souls' Day (November 2) were marked by intense and somber rituals of public remembrance across Europe. The sheer scale of death from the war—estimated at 16 million, military and civilian—infinitely deepened the meaning of these traditional holidays for the dead. World War I  or the  First World War  (28 July 1914 – 11 November 1918), also known as the  Great War. Approximate size is 16 x 18 inches, 8 pages . A supplement of  Le Petit Journal  newspaper, a conservative daily publication in Paris, France. Begun in 1884, the supplement quickly gained popularity, as it was the first to feature color illustrations. By 1895, over a million copies were being produced every week.  Le Petit Journal  ceased publication in 1944 . Acceptable Condition. Usable and readable, but old papers are very fragile.
