The combination of the applied relief mask, elegant proportions, subtle incised decoration, and celadon glaze makes this a particularly distinctive and attractive piece. A COOL AND BEAUTIFUL!  AND UNUSUAL !                            12-inch celadon vase                                     featuring a graceful six-lobed (ruffled) rim, finely incised scrolling decoration, and a distinctive applied relief mask on the shoulder. I have not been able to identify another example exactly like this one. It is currently unattributed, and I have not found a maker's mark or label. Collectors are encouraged to examine the photographs and draw their own conclusions regarding its age and origin.
