This is a vintage Millers Falls wood plane with the corrugated bottom, and I believe this is plane with the Semi-circular recess logo painted red, is from the 1942 to 1948 era.   I believe for dating : I believe is a type 3   made from the 1942 to 1948 era. **lever cap two piece MILLERS FALLS semi-circular recess painted red, **steel blade adjustment nut, **handles and totes are hardwood stained, Iron stamped Millers Falls MADE IN USA, 2 IN est 1868, the frog is painted red, model no on side, raided ridges under front knob, steel bolts for tote and knob, steel blade adjustor. The plane is embossed behind the frog MADE IN USA . The lever cap has the Semi-circular recess MILLERS FALLS logo in the red painted background, with the PAT NO 1822520 , and the side of the sole is stamped MILLERS FALLS NO 14C.       The blade is stamped MILLERS FALLS, EST 1868 MADE IN USA, 2 IN , the blade adjuster knob is approx. 1 1/4" diameter. The plane is 14" long and has a 2 7/16" wide base, The blade is 2" wide and 7 7/16" long. The plane is in good condition for the era,……. the plane has been lightly cleaned and oiled, …I believe the blade may have never been sharpened—I touched up a little,….… , japanning near 100%---a couple of chips,……..as with a used item, there is some normal dings, scratches, and some discoloration, all as noted from the photos.
