MIRIAM HASKELL 40'S: 2PC SUITE BROOCH & EARRINGS RED CÔTELÉ BEADS ICE CLEAR RHINESTONE CRYSTALS & ROSE MONTÉE MOLDED BRASS ACCENTS This auction is for a mega rare and exquisitely beautiful vintage gold gilt brass two-piece set designed and hand made for Miriam Haskell.  It dates CIRCA 1950’S.  The set is a  brooch/pin  and matching earrings.  The brooch is a beautiful detailed floral cluster  in gold gilt brass. A mix of glistening ice clear faceted crystals, vibrant Siam red art glass côtelé and elongated faceted oval glass beads are nestled in the center of the flowers.  The pieces are held together by hand wiring to a gold gilt brass filigree base.  The ice clear crystals are prong set in closed back cups.   It is signed “MIRIAM HASKELL” with the designer's hallmark on the back. The earrings are cluster style with a dangle.  It fastens with lever clip backs.  The head of the earrings are gold gilt brass flower handwired to a filigree gold gilt brass base. The center of each brass flower has a large Siam red côtelé art glass bead accentuated by a single ice clear rose montée.  Both earrings are signed “MIRIAM HASKELL” on the clip backs. Dimensions & Weight: The brooch measures 2 ¼” L x  1 ¼" W x ½” at thickest point and weighs 24 grams.   Each earring measures 1½” x ⅝”  x ½”  and weighs 6 grams. Condition:   This is pre-owned vintage jewelry.  The set is  a family heirloom and has been in storage in a dust free temperature controlled storage facility.    The ice clear crystals are sparkly, no darkening or discoloration. No missing crystals or broken wires that I can see. The red côtelé art glass beads are well preserved with no cracks or chips and have retained there rich vibrant Siam red color. The rose montée are all sparkly and bright.  The gold gilt brass on all the pieces have minor amounts of tarnish with a Russian gold hue.  There is no patina.  The earring backs fit snug with a bit of pinch.
