This set is rare, however, I have seen a similar set   of earrings being offered for $2,250.00 and a two strand necklace for $3,850.00.    MIRIAM HASKELL 40'S 2-PC SUITE: SIAM RED CÔTELÉ GRIPOIX ICE CLEAR CRYSTAL DEMILUNE ICE CLEAR MONTÉE CLUSTERS WITH GOLD GILT BRASS ACCENTS For your consideration, a rare find.  The set is art nouveau inspired  and consists of a triple strand bib necklace, a matching pair of   gold gilt brass cluster earrings.  The pieces are designed with gold gilt brass findings, Siam red gripoix glass côtelé beads accentuated with ice clear demilune crystals and ice clear rose montée.  The necklace features three strands of Siam red gripoix côtelé beads, also known as melon cut.  The beads measure between 5 x 7mm - 5 x 12mm. The gripoix beads are accentuated by ice clear montée clusters and diamond cut raw brass spacer beads.  The third strand of beads has small dangles in between the beads.   It fastens with a gold gilt brass filigree decorated box clasp with push tongue latch.   The clasp has a fabulous 3-D gold gilt brass flower design with ice clear demilune crystals, and a Siam red côtelé art glass bead in the center.   At the center of the red côtelé bead is a single ice clear rose montée. The Siam red côtelé bead and each demilune crystal   is anchored in its own collet held in place by tiny prongs. The decorations are hand wired  and smoldered to a filigree gilt brass base which is secured to the box clasp The clasp is signed/hallmarked “MIRIAM HASKELL” on the underside.  The necklace is a bib.     The box clasp can be worn to the front of the neck as a pendant or at the nape of the neck. The earrings are cluster style with paddle clip backs.  They are gold gilt brass flower design with ice clear demilune crystals, and a Siam red côtelé art glass bead accentuated by a single ice clear rose montée.  Both earrings are signed “MIRIAM HASKELL” on the clip backs. The earrings are similar to the decorated box clasp of the necklace DIMENSIONS & WEIGHT : All measurements are approximate and taken at longest/widest points. Necklace ~15¼”L   x   W.   The length is the measurement of the shortest strand and the box clasp when laid flat in a straight line, including the clasp but not the push tongue.  ·       The clasp is ¾” in diameter and is ½”  in thickness.  The middle strand is  16½”L including the clasp.  ·       The longest strand hangs is 19”L including the clasp and hangs just below the other two strands.   ·       The necklace has a good weight of approximately 126 grams. Earrings ~Each earring measures ¾” in diameter x ½” in thickness. The weight is 9 grams. CONDITION : Please note this is pre-owned 1940's vintage jewelry and the pieces have been gently worn.  The necklace and matching pieces were purchase from the original owner at an estate sale in Manhattan, New York in 1980’s.   The findings of the necklace, earrings and bracelet are all original and fairly well preserved. The ice clear crystals of the montée clusters of the necklace are all bright and sparkly.   The Siam red gripoix beads in the center of the flowers are well preserved with no cracks, bruises or chips.    The box clasp and push tongue latches of both the necklace fastens securely with a snap.  .  The underside of the clasp has minor wear, tiny scratches on the metal, but nothing obtrusive or unsightly and some tarnish.  The brass findings of the neckace are mostly clean and shiny with some age related tarnish.  The brass surfaces of the earrings are also slightly tarnished, but still quite beautiful with a Russian gold hue like the necklace.   I have not noticed any patina.  The undersides of both earrings are fairly clean with minor tarnish to the brass surface.  No loose or broken wires.   The clip backs are taut and both fit comfortably and snug.  Structurally, the pieces are very well preserved with minor flaws due to aging as noted above.  This is a magnificent set.     Your only disappointment will be if you do not add this rare find to your collection!  Please note  it is the nature of brass to tarnish and develop some patina over time.    Overall condition of the pieces in this set are  very well preserved, however, look at the pictures so you can make an assessment for yourself.  If you like I can send more pictures and will answers any questions you have.  The construction and finish of the pieces  is sturdy and compact.  The best quality findings, imported from Japan and Europe, were used in  its construction.  This Haskell vintage piece is exquisitely beautiful and the attention to detail is consistent with similar high end Haskell pieces produced during this period.   NOTE:   All pieces in this auction are part  of my personal collection of vintage Haskell costume jewelry.  They have been in storage for years and may need a small amount of cleaning.  Most of my pieces have been gently worn, a few are  unworn.   I do not clean my Haskell pieces as I am not an expert and some cleaning agents can be corrosive to vintage costume jewelry, particularly faux pearls.
