This plane is in good working condition. The iron and chip breaker are good, the iron is a Sweetheart, I believe original to this plane. an old guy. I have an early Stanley no.6 wood plane for sale. The iron and shipbreaker have some pitting, you should be able to improve this with sanding and oil stone. The lever cap looks original and works well, a keyhole type with S on the back, which I believe is early Stanley. The lateral lever  adjusts but has a ton of slop. It could be peened to tightened it up.. however it does work as is.. The frog works well, it is the earlier type with forward and aft adjustment and a smaller brass adjuster.  The sole has good steel, with some wear, but pretty good for its age. It has a name on one side of the sole.. C B Baker 32.. I guess it is a 1932 date for the prior owner.. The jappaning has a lot of wear. Although the pics show the japanning black it is mainly oil. The price reflects the wear of jappaning. If you are restoring the plane, you may want to re- japan the sole.  The front knob is in good condition and looks uncracked or repaired. The rear tote is a replacement that holds well. This plane has potential, it has good bones. I feel like it is a user as is OR a great project for someone wanting a solid 6..
