Presenting a cotton radiating Star of Bethlehem or 8 Point Lone Star patchwork quilt dating from 1930s and skillfully with elaborate all hand sewn, and hand quilting with feathered wreath motifs and diamond quilting patterns and with rounded corners. EIGHT POINT LONE STAR OR STAR OF BETHLEHEM HEAVILY QUILTED QUILT, 1930s Presenting a cotton radiating Star of Bethlehem or 8 Point Lone Star patchwork quilt dating from 1930s and skillfully with elaborate all hand sewn, and hand quilting with feathered wreath motifs and diamond quilting patterns and with rounded corners. Backing is plain white cotton. There are hand done stitching, throughout at 10 stitches to the inch. The quilt consists of feathered wreaths, diagonal and curved feather quilting and diamond quilting used as a filler. Each diamond making up the star is quilted. Found in Indiana. CONDITION Is in very good, unwashed condition and in as found condition. With light surface age stain discoloration scattered about and discoloration on back on fold marks, as shown in photos. No rips, no fading of color or holes or repairs. The batting has a thin thickness.  Hand sewn stitched edge binding. APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS The size is 86" x 72", with each diamond shaped piece measuring 4-1/2" in length and 2" in width.  The quilt would work on a double / queen sized bed Would look lovely on your bed, as a wall hanging, or, would make a great gift.  Standard double bed is 54" wide x 78" long. Queen bed is 60" wide x 80" long.
