(1 1/2" tall with rotating bale; weight approx. 2.3 g) Crucifix pendant featuring a Slavonic Orthodox artisan-style ornate layered design with a detailed high-relief image of the Crucified Savior. It has two punch marks on the back bar, one of which displays the "925" hallmark indicating the "sterling" purity. Vintage solid sterling silver medium- to larger sized and sturdy (approx. 1 1/2" tall with rotating bale; weight approx. 2.3 g) Crucifix pendant featuring a Slavonic Orthodox artisan-style ornate layered design with a detailed high-relief image of the Crucified Savior. He is depicted according to the Orthodox iconographic tradition, with His feet uncrossed and His head crowned with large halo. The reverse displays a hand-engraved cursive inscription of the traditional Slavonic Orthodox prayer meaning "Save and Protect". The prayer reminds us that Christ the Savior is with us to save and protect a person wearing the cross from every evil and all enemies visible and invisible. The large rotating bale of the pendant bears an openwork image of a two-bar Orthodox cross (a simplified, symbolic version of the three-bar cross venerated as the True Savior’s Cross in the Slavonic Orthodox and some Eastern Catholic churches). It has two punch marks on the back bar, one of which displays the "925" hallmark indicating the "sterling" purity. It has been confirmed for both the pendant and its bale using the silver acid test. The pendant has visual vintage appearance with signs of aging and wear that might include diminished quality of the artwork, deformations of its original shape, scratches, dents, and patches of discoloration/patina.
